When a child consistently finishes a whole bag of chips after school and never gets outside to play, you may be facing a potential problem with childhood obesity. Children with weight problems often grow up to become adults with weight problems. If you are an overweight adult, you already know how difficult it is to struggle with your weight for your whole life. But there is more than struggling that you need to be concerned about as a parent: obese children are much more prone to serious medical conditions now and in their adult years.
So how can you help your child beat a life of struggle and obesity-related health problems? Teach him or her proper eating habits and make sure he or she gets outside to play. Just these two things can ultimately change a potentially obese child’s whole life both now and in the future.
